The Situation

Sydney Group offers assistance with enrolling in Medicare and supplemental life and health insurance plans to men and women who are turning 65 or are 65 and older in the St. Louis, MO area. They conduct educational meet-ups to help inform locals on current Medicare plans and the importance of obtaining quality health and life insurance. They needed a fast, convenient, and effective way to send out invitations in their community, so they came to PostcardMania for assistance.

The Solution

Sydney Group decided to personalize their postcards and used PostcardMania’s personalization services to customize each card with the recipient’s first name at the top of the front of the card.

The added personal touch grabs the prospect’s attention and makes them feel a tad extra special since the company is speaking directly to them.

The postcard also included the following details:

  • An appealing picture of a delicious meal on the back of the postcard with the offer of a free meal for attending the educational class
  • A list of discussion topics to inform the recipient about their company
  • A reassuring message that promises they will follow health and safety guidelines at the event

Sydney Group provided the mailing list and targeted residents who are turning 65 or are 65 and older in the community who would need assistance enrolling into Medicare.

They sent out 3,855 6” x 8.5” postcards in February 2022, about one month before their event.

The Results

Seventy-three people attended the event, and he made an immediate profit of $4,800!

Sydney Group received a fantastic response and got 73 people to attend the event because of the postcard mailing! Out of those 73 attendees, they closed 10 of them and immediately made $4,800.

Sydney Group says they are already in the process of closing 10-15 more interested prospects, so their combined, projected immediate revenue is $12,000.

On average, one client generates about $480 upfront and then another $200 every year after. So, their projected lifetime value (for five more years) would be $10,000 from the first 10 leads he closed, and potentially another $15,000 if those extra 15 people make a commitment.
