Design:

The website fades from a darker orange into a lighter orange throughout the background. This dark, yet energetic, backdrop makes the other colors on the site pop. For the accent colors, they chose several different options. They used purple, green and blue for the button links to their 3 different services. They also feature a great banner image, which gives the site a welcoming and friendly appearance. Overall, it makes a great first impression and engages the interest of visitors to see what else the company has to say.

Marketing:

Here my big 3 marketing takeaways from this site…

1) Bullet Points for Easy Browsing – Bullet points make marketing copy very easy to read while browsing. They help you efficiently communicate how you can help potential clients. Using bullets for their services was a great move.

2) Testimonials – Positive customer testimonials are marketing gold. This company uses a separate page for visitors to check out and read about what being their client is really like.

3) Picture of the Owner on the Homepage – People like doing business with people, not corporations. The owner of the company is featured on the homepage with a picture of himself to make a human connection with website visitors.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization):

SEO is the practice of optimizing the copy on your website so that search engines can understand what your website is about and how they should rank it for particular keywords. This website is optimized for keywords like “accounting and payroll”, “tax preparation”, and “tax resolution.” Using these keywords phrases will draw prospects who already need their services to their website. These will be quality leads that can be turned into clients more easily.

Copywriting:

The tone of the site’s copy is heartfelt and personal. It is written from the perspective of the owner, Richard Matthews. On the About Us page, he discusses his personal story and his desire to help his clients using his expertise. Also, much of the copy is put into bullet points, which makes it easy to read and allows for efficient communication of his company’s marketing benefits.

Programming:

The programming of this site was working perfectly. I didn’t encounter any glitches or problems, and that means the visitors of this site can see R. Matthews & Associates as a professional company who has their act together. That’s all you really need from a programming standpoint.
