Tit for tat: Corporate CEO changing way corporate America runs

Clearwater, FL, April 17, 2006 – What do your employees do when you are not looking? It is the company culture that sets the tone. Company culture, or also known as the way we do things around here, has as many different faces as there are different types of personalities. CEO of PostcardMania decided her culture would be that with no office politics where employees could move up based on merit, training and production record.

With that conviction she established her own in-house training academy to foster the growth of employees who wanted to learn administrative tools for their job and even their own lives. In June 2005, PostcardMania was awarded a grant by the State of Florida for $19,000 allowing them to train employees on subjects that would not only help them become better employees, but become better people.

Operating off of the Hubbard Management System, the company has boosted its revenue up continuously each of the eight years it has been in business hitting the 12 million dollar mark and being announced by Inc Magazine as one of the fastest growing privately-held companies in America today. The workability of the Hubbard Management System is what made Gendusa decide to train all her employees on the system’s principles, not just the executives.

The curriculum starts with courses on basic learning skills so employees learn how retain and apply what they study and then they can graduate to more advanced courses on Marketing, Public Relations, Financial Planning and even Executive programs. Success stories are heard weekly at Monday staff meetings where graduates are announced. Because of the courses offered at PostcardMania, one employee said she realized true potential and recently went back to school to finish her GED.

Corporate culture is not about the products you sell. It’s a mindset about how you care for your customers – and that emanates from employees and executives that feel cared for and in turn care for those they service said PostcardMania President, Jennifer Custer.

By June of 2006, 50% of PostcardMania’s employees will have successfully graduated from their first company course.
