Have you started using social media for your business? It is a great way to gain free exposure for your business and connect with your customers, but its main function is to generate traffic to your website – not direct sales. For example, having thousands of followers on Twitter doesn’t mean they will use your service, it only means you have a chance to route them to your website. What they see when they get there will determine if you actually get them as a customer.
You can’t sell anything on Twitter, just like you can’t sell anything on TV – they’re both just vehicles to let prospects know why they should check out your website… where you do have things for sale!
