The Situation

Nova Water is a water filtration company located in Tulsa, OK. They needed more leads, so they came to PostcardMania for their marketing needs.

The Solution

Nova Water decided to use a two-step marketing method that first sends postcards to target prospects and then secondly provides information when the individual calls in. This then gives the business an opportunity to convert the person to a sale or follow-up with them in the future.

Nova Water’s postcard included the following features:

  • An offer of a 3-month supply of Tide
  • Personalization on the front of the card which includes the recipient’s first name
  • Photos of the free product to encourage responses
  • A QR code that sends recipients to a landing page for more information

PostcardMania also designed and created a landing page for Nova Water that prospects could visit for more information. The QR code on the postcard directly led postcard recipients to the landing page where they could fill out a form and receive a free water test and a 3-months supply of laundry detergent in exchange for their completion of a short questionnaire and review of environmental products.

Nova Water mailed 10,894 postcards to their own list of homeowners in batches between 700-3,000 cards. Since they also signed up for an Everywhere Small Business campaign, the postcards were followed-up by digital ads in the prospects’ online feeds. The digital ads looked like the postcards to help recipients recall the offer.

The Google ads were displayed 591,289 times, and the Facebook/Instagram ads were displayed 142,955 times.

The Results

They generated 15 responses and $110,000 in revenue!

As a result of the campaign, the Google ads were clicked on 5,466 times and the Facebook/Instagram ads were clicked on 1,977 times. Fifteen people responded and Nova Water converted 11 of them. The web page PostcardMania designed was a vital part of the success of this direct mail marketing campaign since it generated many leads that Nova Water could follow up with and convert to sales.

After investing $5,575 on this campaign, Nova Water made $110,000 in revenue, which is a return on investment of 1,873%! Since then, they have ordered another 13,000 postcards from PostcardMania and they are looking forward to achieving even greater results.
