iSchool chose an orange and black color scheme, which gives their card a lot of energy. They feature three images of students performing. The kids look confident, and they look like they are having a lot of fun. This illustrates the benefits of music lessons for a child. They finish up the design by featuring the prices of their 3 most popular services, so prospective students have all the information they need to make a decision.

The Situation

We started using postcard marketing to increase the number of enrollments we were generating using various other marketing methods.

iSchool of Music & Art is an educational music and art school for children and adults located in Port Washington and Syosset, Long Island, New York.

The Solution

Postcard Design: Printed 6,000 4.25 x 6 postcards promoting their fall rock band sessions, private music lessons and art classes. A Clear, Bold Headline That Pops Images of Actual Students that Get Attention & Support the Message Compelling Offer Clear Call to Action Mailing List: For this campaign, they sent postcards to residences in multiple zip codes with presence of children 3-17 years old. Mailing Schedule: They mailed 6,000 postcards during one month for this campaign.

The Results

We find we achieve significantly greater results with postcards versus other forms of marketing. We will typically enroll about 100 new students at each location from each mailing...each student will spend about $5,000 in their duration here over 5 years. When you multiply that by 200 students every year, our ROI turns out to be a truly significantly number.
