The Situation

Carpet MD Inc. is a carpet cleaning company located in Forest Grove, OR. They needed to generate more revenue, so they came to PostcardMania for marketing help.

The Solution

Carpet MD started mailing with PostcardMania in the Spring of 2022. Their first postcard targeted residents in the local area using their own list of contacts and included an Easter-themed design, appealing to families who wanted to complete some spring cleaning.

The first postcard featured a 20% off discount on their cleaning services and included an expiration date to encourage the recipient to act sooner rather than later. The card also had pictures of their staff cleaning a home, which helped increase trust with the prospect.

Their second mailing went out in the summer in anticipation of school starting and had a “back to school” theme. This design featured a 15% off services offer and a special of $299 for duct cleaning.

Then, two months later, Carpet MD sent out their 3rd mailer, but this time it was focused on the upcoming holiday season. Designers placed a photo of a holiday dinner on the front of the postcard with the line, “Happy Thanksgiving” to grab the recipient’s attention, and then included 3 different offers on the back of the postcard to encourage them to schedule a cleaning before hosting family for the holiday season. They also placed a five-star review from a happy customer to show the prospects they could trust their company to do a good job.

Each mailing had about 2,800 cards. Between those 3 campaigns, Carpet MD mailed a total of 8,795 postcards and spent $6,772.

The Results

They booked 128 jobs and generated $53,672 in revenue!

As a result, they booked 128 jobs and made roughly $53,672. That equates to a return of investment of 693%!

Since then, they have sent out another mailing, and they anticipate sending out more seasonal mailers in the future.
