Wimberley Roofing is a roofing company located in Wimberley, TX. They were looking for a creative way to let homeowners know about their services so they contacted PostcardMania for ideas.

The Solution

The front of the postcard’s central feature is a home with a beautiful roof, a common item included in other successful roofing direct mail campaigns.

Wimberley Roofing’s postcard design included:

• A 10% discount for a roof replacement
• A glowing 5-star review from a previous client
• A bulleted list of the benefits of their services
• A 5-year warranty included with purchase

Because Wimberley Roofing sells roofing repair and reconstruction services that are directly installed into the infrastructure of the house, they needed to target homeowners instead of renters. So, they used a consumer mailing list of homeowners in their local area living in homes built from 1800-2011 with values of $150,000 or more.

The Results

They increased their ROI from 631% on the first campaign to 1,374% on the second!

Wimberley Roofing has had two successful direct mail marketing campaigns so far. Their first campaign included 6,000 postcards which were mailed out in quantities of 2,000 pieces on a monthly mailing schedule. As a result of the first campaign, they received more than 16 responses and converted 12 initially, bringing in $24,000 in revenue.

Then for the second roofing mailer marketing campaign, they mailed out another 6,000 postcards on the same mailing schedule and used a similar consumer list that included the same targeting features.

The second time around, Wimberley Roofing generated even more revenue of $48,000! Their return on investment also increased from 631% the previous time to 1,374%.

Since then they have ordered about 4,700 more postcards and are looking forward to seeing if they can beat their success results next time!
