The Situation

Elite Roofing and Restoration is a roofing contractor located in Sanford, Florida. They were looking for a creative way to let homeowners know about their services after a recent destructive storm so they contacted PostcardMania for ideas.

The Solution

They decided on a direct mail marketing campaign bundled with Google, Instagram and Facebook advertising in our Everywhere Small Business package. You can see those advertisements above. As you’ll notice, these ads are all coordinated — that’s to ensure your ads are maximizing the impact they have prospects and actually overcome the ad blindness that so many consumers have built up. (We see millions of ads every day and our subconscious is getting really good at blocking them!)

Elite Roofing And Restoration’s postcard included:

  • A headline that immediately communicates the card’s message
  • A bulleted list of the services offered
  • An offer for a free storm damage assessment

The main goal of their campaign was to capitalize on a recent storm that hit their town. Because of this, they needed a pretty specific mailing list based on two main factors: homeowners, since renters wouldn’t be receptive to a roofing contractor’s messaging. And specific neighborhoods where the storm actually hit the worst, since those out of the damage radius wouldn’t bother checking for damage.

The consistency and timing of their mailings were also major success factors. They selectively mailed to the neighborhoods that were hit by the storms 3 times a month directly after a major storm hit. They then stopped their mailings until another destructive storm came through their area, and repeated the tri-monthly mailings directly following the storm.

They made over $243,000 in revenue from their postcard leads! This was just from what they tracked, but more than likely there was more than that. They only paid $25,617.76 on the campaign, resulting in a 848% return on their investment
