Red Stick Roofing provides top-quality roofing solutions to families in the Oscar, Louisiana area. They were looking for an effective way to target homeowners who were just hit by a storm so they contacted PostcardMania for marketing assistance.
With the help of our marketing consultants, Red Stick Roofing decided to run an integrated direct mail campaign bundled with Google, Instagram and Facebook advertising in our Everywhere Small Business package.
They initially started out mailing 5,000 postcards to homes in the area using a resident/occupant mailing list. The selected geographical areas were targeted based on those who were recently hit by a bad storm.
Red Stick Roofing’s postcard design includes several key features, such as:
- An offer for a free storm damage assessment and $1000 discount to use within 60 days from mailing
- A 5-star testimonial from a previous client that builds credibility
- A bold and contrasting design that stands out in the mail
The digital ads targeted the same types of homeowners in the area and were displayed 308,477 times on Google and 39,682 times on Facebook and Instagram. Together, the ads resulted in a total of 2,616 clicks.
Then for their next direct mail campaign, Red Stick Roofing decided to double their mailings and ordered another 10,000 postcards with the same design. This time they used a consumer mailing list that targeted specific zip codes and single-family homes valued at $200,000 or more.
All of the postcards in the second mailing were mailed out at once in the fall.
They have generated $106,822 with mailers and digital ads!
Red Stick Roofing had about 20 responses from their first campaign and converted 7 of them into jobs! On average, full roof replacements cost $10,000 so their estimated income generated was $70,000!
Then their second campaign of 10,000 postcards was successful as well. This time the mailers brought in 4 responses, they converted all of them and generated $36,822. Since Red Stick Roofing spent only $5,160 on the postcards, their return on investment was significant and amounted to an impressive 614%.
Together, these two campaigns brought in an estimated amount of $106,822!
