The Situation

Claudia Heavenly Flan & Cakes opened their doors during the 2020 pandemic closures as a way to deliver home-cooked food to those that needed it during quarantine. They needed to market their business to those quarantined at home and came to PostcardMania for help.

The Solution

They decided on a direct mail marketing campaign bundled with Google, Instagram and Facebook advertising in our Everywhere Small Business package. You can see those advertisements above. As you’ll notice, these ads are all coordinated — that’s to ensure your ads are maximizing the impact they have prospects and actually overcome the ad blindness that so many consumers have built up. (We see millions of ads every day and our subconscious is getting really good at blocking them!)

A big reason for this campaign’s success was their consumer mailing lists. One list targeted homes within a 3 mile radius from their location, ensuring that their offer for free delivery within 5 miles would be utilized. The other targeted zip codes in Clearwater and adjacent Safety Harbor, a recommendation by our marketing consultant to cover a wide range in their area.

Their mailing schedule also helped bring in results. They mailed their postcards monthly during the pandemic closures, which reminded those stuck at home that they had an avenue to get freshly made food delivered by a local business.
