The Situation

Bennett Metals Recycling is a scrap metal recycling company located in Desoto, TX. They wanted to grow their business and bring in more clients, so they came to PostcardMania for marketing assistance.

The Solution

PostcardMania designed a 6 x 8.5 postcard that included the following features:

• A list of benefits on the back of the card
• A QR code that leads the prospect to the company website
• An offer of a free breakfast for the first 10 callers
• A large, clear message on the front of the card

Bennett Metals Recycling mailed 5,000 postcards to their own mailing list of air conditioning contractors. The cards went out in 3 batches of about 1,200 pieces in February and May of 2022.

They also purchased an Everywhere Small Business campaign that included Google ads, Facebook/Instagram ads, and call tracking. The digital ads appeared on the prospects’ smartphone or desktop computer screens after they visited the website, which helped remind them to think about selling their metal trash for cash.

The Results

They received 21 responses and made $8,000 in revenue!

Bennett Metals Recycling’s Google ads resulted in 36,085 impressions and 782 clicks. The Facebook/Instagram ads also had 8,754 impressions and 400 clicks.

After the postcards were mailed out, 15 people called, they received 21 total responses, and they converted 2 of them to customers.

Since they invested $3,366 in this direct mail marketing campaign and made $8,000 in revenue, their ROI amounted to 138%.

This is Bennett Metals Recycling’s first campaign with PostcardMania and is looking forward to even greater results in the future since the digital ads through their Everywhere Small Business campaign are still active.
