The Situation

Camp Chandler-Tonsmeire is an outdoor education program focused on character and leadership development and curbing summer learning loss. Located in Mobile, AL, they wanted to increase their camper numbers, so they reached out to PostcardMania for help with their marketing.

The Solution

PostcardMania designed a postcard that included the following features:

  • A fun and engaging photo of kids at the summer camp to draw eyes in to the postcard
  • A list of dates of the summer camps
  • A list of available activities
  • A strong call to action
  • A description of the camp on the back of the card

Camp Chandler Tonsmeire mailed 5,962 postcards to a consumer mailing list that targeted homes with kids ages 6-12.

The Results

They increased day camp enrollment 127% and made $52,975 in revenue!

As a result, Camp Chandler Tonsmeire increased their day campers from 358 to 815 — an increase of 127%! These new campers brought in $52,975 in revenue. Given that they spent $3,145 on this direct mail marketing campaign, their return on investment amounts to an impressive 1,584%.
