This postcard used a blue color scheme with yellow accents to grab attention. Blue is a popular choice for the pool service industry, because blue obviously reminds people of the clear blue water from a clean, refreshing pool. They featured two images of: one aboveground pool and one in-ground pool. They featured the prices for their pool opening services for each pool type, so prospects got the most important information right on the front of the card.

The Situation

As the summer season approached, Whip’s Pool Service wanted to get the word out about their pool services. They offer seasonal and regular maintenance services, so they wanted to mail to homeowners who already had a pool at the beginning of the busy season. They consulted with our marketing consultants to craft an effective postcard campaign to achieve their goals.

The Solution

Our marketing experts designed a campaign that focused on a message offering to help prospects get their pool ready for summer. That meant finding a mailing list that included homes that already had a pool. We put together a list of 6,000 homes in their neighboring zip codes. They mailed the campaign just once.

The Results

Even with just one mailing Whip’s marketing response was great. Read what they say about their experience in their own words: “So far we have a confirmed 29 new clients, and 8 past clients that have redeemed the discount we offered on our mailer – generating $4,350 from new clients and $1,200 from the past clients. We also have some other clients that we are currently working with on some larger ($2,500+) jobs.
