The Situation
Louis Harris was running for City Council in Mukilteo, WA and was seeking re-election and wanted to get his name and accomplishments out into the community to improve his chances of winning, so he came to PostcardMania for marketing assistance.
The Solution
Louis Harris’s postcard included the following features:
- Professional photos of Louis
- A list of endorsements on the front of the card
- A list of his values and plans if elected
- Calls to action on both sides of the card asking for support in the election
- A website URL where recipients can visit for more information
- Bold colors in yellow and red to draw the eyes to the most important messages
He mailed 6,000 postcards to residents living in a specific zip code through Every Door Direct Mail, which saved him money on postage, and the cards saturated a key area of people he wanted to influence before the election on November 2, 2021.
The postcards were all mailed out on October 15, 2021 giving the recipients time to think about who they would vote for.
