The Situation

Express Medical Imaging, a medical diagnostic center offering an array of services, is located in Palatka, Florida. They were looking for a creative way to let women know about their mammogram services so they contacted PostcardMania for ideas.

The Solution

They decided on a direct mail marketing campaign focusing on their mammogram services that targeted women in the area. Their central message emphasized comfort, a common theme among other medical campaigns.

Express Medical Imaging’s postcard included:

  • A headline that immediately communicates the card’s message
  • An offer for mimosas and a massage with their mammogram
  • A picture of a woman looking very relaxed

Their campaign found success due to the laser-targeting of their mailing list. They purchased a consumer list targeting only women in their area ages 48-75 with an income of at least $20,000.

Another contributing factor was the campaign’s timing. They did their one-time mailing drop in October, which is national Breast Cancer Awareness month. This surely helped push recipient’s to get themselves checked out.

In addition, their offer definitely helped bring women in. Women in this age range are basically obligated to themselves to get checked on a yearly basis, so its making something that’s mandatory and adds a bit of fun into it. Instead of waiting until they NEED to do it, they did it with Express Medical Imaging to get a complimentary massage and mimosa.
