The Situation

U.S. Taekwondo Center is a school is part of a chain of centers which have become the recognized leader in Taekwondo throughout the United States. They work with low-income families who have vouchers with the New England Farm Workers Council. They were looking for fresh ideas to advertise their summer classes so they came to PostcardMania for help!

The Solution

With the help of our marketing consultants, US Taekwondo Center settled on a direct mail campaign that targeted homes with children ages 4-14 within a 1–5-mile radius around 5 low-income schools in the area.

US Taekwondo Center’s postcard design included a number of successful elements like:

  • A clear headline that indicates the company’s specialty.
  • A 25% off enrollment offer.
  • Actual pictures of students from the school.

One reason that their campaign was successful was their consistent mailing. They mailed all of their cards to the same mailing list 3 times. People are busy, and in order for your prospects to remember YOU over your competitors, it requires serious repetition.

The Results

This martial arts center generated approximately $105,000 from one campaign!

They had 50 responses and 15 of them became students.  Because they work with low income families, the state will pay approximately $7,000 a year per student to enroll.
