PostcardMania designed a 6.25 x 8.5 postcard with the following features:

  • A bright and bold call to action, drawing the recipient’s eye to the message to call
  • Pictures of the floors in the business, increasing trust with the prospect

Steel Coated Floors mailed out 5,927 postcards in 3 batches of about 1,900 cards between February and June 2022. They used Every Door Direct Mail, which targeted families in their local area by zip code.

The zip codes they chose were in 3 different neighborhoods where the median income of the residents was $89,250 or higher, the median home value was $323,741 or higher, and the median age was 53 or older. So Steel Coated Floors was targeting wealthy homeowners who could afford to install new flooring in their homes and would likely need to renovate their houses.

The postcards were sent to all the residents on specific mail carrier routes, which saved them money on postage.

The Results

They generated 8 responses and $15,000 in revenue!

They received 8 responses and generated $15,000 in revenue. Since they spent only $2,689 on this direct mail campaign, their ROI is an impressive 458%.
