The Situation

CKO Kickboxing is a kickboxing studio located in The Colony, TX. They needed to bring in more clients to fill their fitness classes, so they reached out to PostcardMania for marketing assistance.

The Solution

PostcardMania created a 6 x 8.5 inches postcard that included the following features:

  • A QR code that brings recipients to a web page where they can learn more about the kickboxing classes and fill out a form for more information
  • A map on the back of the card showing exactly where the gym is located
  • Two success stories of customers who lost weight from taking the fitness classes, which helps persuade the prospect to sign up
  • Real photos of their gym to build trust and let the prospect know exactly what to expect

CKO Kickboxing mailed 30,000 postcards total in batches of 10,000 on a monthly mailing schedule. They used a resident/occupant list that targeted local residents ages 22-55 who live within a 3-mile radius of the gym. The postcard was in a larger size and the design had a bright yellow color to help grab the prospect’s attention.

The Results

They gained 18 new members and $25,200 in revenue!

Eighteen people responded to the mailer and CKO Kickboxing converted all of them. As a result, this direct mail campaign brought in $25,200 in revenue! Their initial investment was $12,650, so their total return on investment is 99%.

CKO Kickboxing has more than 65 locations throughout the U.S. and many devoted members. Since many of their customers come back and keep up their memberships year after year, their projected revenue is expected to grow in time and their ROI to increase even more.
