Anytime Fitness is a national brand, so they don’t need to do much explaining about who they are. The postcard simply featured their logo on the top half of the front of the card. The bottom half said, “Grand Opening April 4th-5th!” to let the potential members know when their new neighborhood’s newest health club would be open. The card design used purple, black and white for its color palette to reinforce the Anytime Fitness branding.
With the grand opening of Anytime Fitness’s new Fort Myers location looming, it was crunch time to find the most efficient way to get the word out to local residents that there was a new killer gym in their area. Anytime Fitness consulted our marketing experts to see what marketing postcards had to offer.
The gym owners decided to go with a ONE-TIME BLAST of marketing postcards to their local community. They put one of their cards in every single mailbox within 1.5 miles of their location. That came out to about 5,000 homes learning about the new gym right around the corner!
The cards got an immediate response! Within 2 weeks, 20 people had called the gym to learn more. 4 of those people signed up for memberships (meaning $350 right off the bat in registration fees.) Over the first year of those 4 memberships alone, the gym will generate $2,400 in revenue. And the calls are still coming in!
