The Situation

Elonda’s Day Care is a childcare facility that offers enrichment and educational programs for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. They wanted to inform their community of their Unique Selling Proposition (USP), which is that they’re the only daycare in the area that offers weekend and overnight services. They reached out to PostcardMania to help inform nearby parents of their service.

They’re located in right in the heart of the nation’s capital in downtown Washington DC, so there were plenty of wealthy prospects with infants to target in the immediate area.

The Solution

Our design team has a trove of successful children’s educational facility campaigns from which they can draw inspiration. Many of those designs largely emphasize photos of happy smiling children and a bright color scheme that gives off a playful, innocent feel. This design plays to those key elements.

Elonda’s Day Care postcard design includes several key features, such as:

  • A headline that reminds the infant’s parents that it’s never too early to start investing in their child’s future.
  • A “Date Night Friday” special coupon, an enticing offer for any overworked parent.
  • Marketing copy that highlights their USP and gives a bulleted list of their service’s benefits, making theirs stand out against others.
  • A 5 star review from a previous parent that gives their service the needed credibility it needs for the recipient to entrust them with their own child.

Since Elonda’s Day Care is only a couple blocks away from the nation’s capital building, there was an abundance of parents to target near their location. So, they purchased a list of 2,000 homes within a 2 mile radius that fit in their target market to hit over 3 mailings. The repeated exposure to their center was key in the campaign’s success.

The Results

They spent $3,740.27 with postage included, and from the responses have made $9,600 in immediate monthly revenue for a 156%+ ROI!
