MM Dental Laboratories makes custom dental products, such as dentures, implants, and crowns, in Irvine, CA. They needed to sell more products to dental and orthodontic offices, so they came to PostcardMania for marketing assistance.
The Solution
MM Dental Laboratories started sending out postcards with us in 2017 and have been mailing them out fairly consistently since then. In November of 2020, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, they continued their direct mail marketing and ordered 36,000 postcards.
The mailers went out in five batches of about 6,000 – 8,000. MM Dental Laboratories provided a targeted list of dental and orthodontic offices in various parts of the country.
The postcard included the following design elements:
- An inviting photo of a family and coordinating colors that attract the eye
- An offer for a free starter kit
- A list of popular products and their competitive prices
As the postcards went out, follow-up Google advertisements appeared on recipients’ computers who visited the website, reminding them about their company’s products and offers.
They continued mailing postcards and then ordered another 32,000 postcards because they wanted to increase their revenue even more! This second marketing campaign had a postcard with a different image on the front and different offers.
The Results
They have generated $306,000 in revenue and hired 1 new employee!
Typically, MM Dental Laboratories receives about 7 responses every time the new cards are delivered to prospects, and they convert 2 of them on average.
Since each new client generates them anything between $100 and $500, that is a monthly profit of $200 on the low end and $1,000 on the high end.
Annually, this would make MM Dental Laboratories between $2,400 and $6,000. Due to the fact that this business started mailing postcards in 2017, it equates to a lifetime value of $9,600 – $24,000!
Their second marketing campaign resulted in them gaining 42 new clients, which amounts to $282,000 in revenue. Due to all of this success, MM Dental Laboratories hired a full-time employee to help keep up with the new business!
