The Situation

Florida Green Development is a home improvement program that provides homeowners with energy efficiency upgrades. They offer solar energy solutions, roofing, and impact doors and windows to residents who want to make upgrades to their home. Florida Green Development wanted to bring in more clients and more jobs, so they reached out to PostcardMania for marketing assistance.

The Solution

PostcardMania designed an 8.5 x 11 inches postcard that folded down to 8.5 x 5 inches and included the following features:

  • An offer of a gift card with a free consultation
  • A list of benefits on the front of the postcard including reducing energy bills, increasing home value, and cutting insurance costs
  • A QR code that leads back to their website where recipients can find more information about their services

Florida Green Development mailed 7,500 postcards to a consumer mailing list that targeted single-family homeowners with income up to $50,000 a year and a property value between $200,000 and $900,000 in the Miami, FL area. All of the cards were mailed out at the same time in the Spring. The mailer also had a Spanish version so that Hispanic families could benefit from their services too.

This direct mail campaign also included digital ads through the Everywhere Small Business (ESB) package that were displayed on Google, Facebook, and Instagram. These ads helped redirect recipients back to Florida Green Developmentā€™s website so they would consider calling. The ESB package also included tracking of all phone calls, the mailings, QR code scans, and digital ad clicks for performance monitoring.

The Results

They received 149 responses, converted 2 of them, and they made $20,000!

This direct mail campaign brought in 149 responses, Florida Green Development converted 2 of them, and they generated a total of $20,000 in revenue! Their digital ads through the Everywhere Small Business plan also performed very well and resulted in 177 clicks on Google, 77 clicks on Facebook/Instagram, and 26 unique QR code scans.

This was not the only postcard mailing they did with PostcardMania. Florida Green Development has ordered more than 300,000 postcards since then. Since their campaign included call tracking, they have been able to see who calls in response to their mailings and count how many people responded to each postcard.

In total, since they started mailing with PostcardMania, they have received 880 total phone calls (at the time of this article posting) as a result of the mailings.

They are excited about receiving even greater results in the future and are continuing their use of direct mail with PostcardMania.
