The Situation

Swedish Auto Service specializes in foreign car repair in Austin, Texas. When they first came to us in October of 2020, they needed help locating more luxury vehicle owners and came to us for ideas.

The Solution

They’ve been running direct mail marketing campaigns ever since, bundled with Google, Instagram and Facebook advertising in our Everywhere Small Business package. You can see those advertisements above. As you’ll notice, these ads are all coordinated — that’s to ensure your ads are maximizing the impact they have prospects and actually overcome the ad blindness that so many consumers have built up. Swedish Auto Service’s postcard design included:

• A headline that immediately communicates their message
• An official-looking stamp stating that they’re foreign car specialists, building credibility with recipients
• An offer for a discounted oil change

The biggest reason these campaigns had such success was the specificity of their mailing lists. The mailing lists targeted 2010-2017 BMW, Mercedes and Volvo owners in a 5 mile radius around their business. This ensured that every recipient was in their target market and would be receptive to their messaging. In addition, targeting owners of older models increased the probability that their car might have some issues.

The consistency of their campaigns also helped aid their success. They’ve run 5 separate campaigns, each with 2 mailings per month over the course of a year. This consistency ensured that they received a steady trickle of new business coming in.
