From Pandemic to Recession?

In 2020, small business owners experienced a crisis as the COVID-19 shut downs caused many businesses to close or shift in a different direction. We, along with millions of companies across the U.S., were forced to adapt and work hard to make it through.

Today, we may feel some relief as the shutdowns are behind us and the threat of COVID has waned. However, the effects of the pandemic are evidently still with us:

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) climbed 8.5% in July, according to the Labor Department, after reaching its highest level of inflation since 1981 (over 40 years). The production of goods dropped significantly while demand rebounded quickly, creating key shortages nationwide. We have seen a 33% increase in oil prices and an 11% increase in food prices.

But of course, you already know — and have no doubt been feeling — those effects.

With over 115,838 small business clients, we hear stories of struggle and survival from you every day.

Our sole goal is to help you succeed! Whether you come to us for marketing or business advice, we are here to help you.

We’ve created this page to list resources that will hopefully provide you and your business with some much-needed relief, such as grants, tax breaks, funding opportunities, inspiration from other small businesses, and our own tips from surviving two big economic slowdowns.
