The Situation

Lauren Spirig and Clare Hackney were running for the Mendham Township Committee in Brookside, NJ. They were mailing postcards with another marketing company and decided to switch over to PostcardMania to promote their political campaign.

The Solution

Lauren and Clare were using a brick and mortar printing company to print and mail their postcards. They also ran their own digital ads but decided to give PostcardMania a try. Since they decided to launch an Everywhere Small Business marketing campaign, Lauren and Clare saved $4,000! This campaign combined postcards with digital ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Google.

The postcard that PostcardMania designed included the following features:

• Friendly and professional photos of Lauren and Clare that invite the recipient to learn more about them
• A list of qualities and accomplishments about Lauren and Clare that encourage the recipient to vote for them
• A strong call to action to vote for Lauren’s re-election and Clare’s first election

Lauren and Clare mailed 7,694 postcards to registered voters in the local area. At the same time, digital ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Google ran online to redirect voters back to Lauren and Clare’s website. This strategy helped local residents remember to vote for Lauren and Clare during the election.

The Results

They won the election!

Lauren and Clare were elected into the Mendham Township Committee! They said they would recommend PostcardMania and also use them for direct mail marketing in the future.
