The Situation

First Baptist Church Pineville is a Baptist church in Pineville, LA. They wanted to increase the number of their church members and let local residents know about their services, so they reached out to PostcardMania for marketing help.

The Solution

PostcardMania designed a 6 x 8.5 inch postcard that included the following features:

  • A QR code that goes to their website
  • A friendly photo of the pastor that encourages the recipient to attend a service
  • A description of the church on the back of the card that helps personalize the message

First Baptist Church Pineville mailed 2,500 of these postcards to a resident/occupant mailing list that targeted local residents living near the church.

After the success of that campaign, they decided to keep using postcards to market their worship services. They mailed another 6,000 postcards right before Easter, and they used their own list of contacts this time.

The Results

They increased their worship service attendance by 730%!

The results of their first campaign included an attendance of 240 people. That was an increase of 200% since they were getting 80 attendees beforehand. Then their Easter service campaign was even more successful since it drew 664 people inside their church doors. It was their highest church attendance in 17 years!

The consistency of their postcard mailings paid off because they achieved a 730% increase in attendance from when they started direct mail marketing.
