Rapidly Growing Company – Looking for a Graphic Design Supervisor (3pm-11:30pm)

We are looking for a kick-ass Graphic Designer to join our ranks as a supervisor, someone with a proven ability to take big ideas and boil ’em down to a really catchy design that will draw positive attention, as well as leading a team of 5 Graphic Designers.

The purpose is to create and provide quality designs or quality check the existing designs for the customer that will result in an excellent looking printed product, without errors and get a good return on investment for them. Also, to manage our team of graphic designers and their work.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
Production of aesthetic, effective designs that duplicate both the customer’s wants and good marketing. They will be both for offset and digital printing (typically variable). You are expected to keep up a steady pace of said production. Ensuring our team of graphic designers are meeting deadlines and ensuring the quality of their submitted work.

Required or desired qualifications:

• Application of graphic design skills, ensuring all technical and aesthetic elements are followed in regards to proofs and artwork.
• Good grasp of Adobe Creative Suites, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Need to know all terms related to graphic design and the specific printing terms used here at PostcardMania.
• Able to design based on both customer requests and copy written by our copywriter, set up proofs according to the job’s specs and our required printing specs and save jobs accordingly as well as complete other duties as assigned.
• Must have graphic design experience, knowledge of design elements, technical elements, and be able to set up art correctly so that it will print with no errors.
• Experience in print design a must, minimum 2 years hands-on experience.
• Previous team management skills required
• Variable data knowledge and Prepress experience a plus

Work Hours
Monday through Friday from 3pm-1130pm

Compensation
Pay commensurate with experience.
