The Never Ending Website Dilemma… To Switch it Up or Live with a Loser

186964917Embarking on a new site is a nauseating endeavor — well, it can be. Pretty much every time I ask a group of business owners if they enjoyed getting their website developed they look at me like I’m nuts. When I ask, “Who here had an emotionally draining experience?” all the hands in the room go up.

There are plenty of do-it-yourself website builders out there, but how are you supposed to know what makes someone stay on your site? Interact with your site? Actually call your business?

All of this is very precise marketing know-how, and if you build your own site you will almost definitely fail to include important elements or add in some that will turn people away… but custom sites are so expensive, they take forever to finish and you may lose your mind again! I get that. So what if you know you need a new site, but don’t have a few grand to do it? Do you just keep sending people to your old site? Do you just cease to market?

No. You get a better site, but a different way…

Template Websites

A template site is a site that is already all built and a designer just modifies it a bit to look like the business that is buying it (i.e. your business). They are much cheaper because all the work has already been done.

Mostly I say “YUCK” when I see a template site. It is so very obvious to me as a consumer that I immediately think the business is small potatoes and it turns me off. Know what I mean? Again, there are so many nuances in designing a site that make it either a place where prospects will want to do business or a place they’ll leave as quickly as possible. And template sites do the latter for the most part.

But what if we could create inexpensive template sites that didn’t look like templates? What if they contained all the elements that drive business rather than shoo it away? I’ve already written about what a website needs to drive business, so I’m not going to do that here, but I wanted to let you know that I solved this dilemma. And I’m pretty darned excited about it!

It’s funny because I SWORE I wouldn’t get into the web design business. Why should I? There are a gazillion web designers already. But when I see my clients sending out gorgeous postcards that drive visitors to a website that will actually drive them AWAY, I knew I had to do something about it. BUT the fantastic custom sites we’ve been doing are out of the price range of most of our clients, so I had to do something else.

Better Results

The cost isn’t the only thing you’ll like about our template websites. They get done quickly! (Think weeks, NOT months.) With no heartache! I really never want to make these articles about buying from us. I want to educate you and get you to market your business properly whether you do it with PostcardMania’s help or not. I implore you to read the report I linked to above. I don’t want you to spend a bunch of money on driving traffic to your site if it’s going to drive them to your competitor.  Whether you use us or another company, I want you to know what will work and what won’t.

At PostcardMania, I started offering template website design after many clients requested the service. We are not the only company that does template websites, but what sets us apart is that we incorporate proven elements that drive interaction. Plus, all our template sites are now “responsive” — that means they fit whatever monitor they’re being viewed on AND they automatically look perfect on a mobile device, which is normally expensive to do. (Plus, we can match your site to your postcard, or vice versa, extremely easily.)

The main point I want you to walk away with is: DON’T SETTLE FOR A BAD/MEDIOCRE WEBSITE!!! It’s just not worth it when there are affordable options for getting a GREAT site.

Thanks so much for reading! As always, let me know if I can help you in anyway. Drop me a line at Joy.Gendusa@PostcardMania.com!

Best,
Joy
