As always, these small business website design analyses are here so you can see examples of website designs that incorporate all of the 5 essentials of business website design. This site has a simple layout. It uses a white background with blue and red accents. The rotating banner image shows pictures of a smiling family, a pest control technician treating a home, and a pesky cockroach on a computer keyboard. The colors really pop coming off the white background, which gives the site an engaging appearance.
Here are 3 great marketing choices this company made…
1.) Two Great Forms on the Homepage― This company put two contact forms on their homepage. They use two great offers as an incentive for prospects to give them their valuable contact information. The first one offers a free pest inspection. The second one offers a free report about how to prevent bugs from getting into your home. These are great offers, which give them an opportunity to turn their website visitors into full leads.
2.) A Clear Call-to-Action― Prospects need to be told what to do with the information you give them. This company includes a clear call-to-action next to their phone number that says, “Call for a FREE Estimate!” This will encourage more responses.
3.) Trust Icons on About Us Page― The biggest hurdle in marketing is building trust with prospects. To prove their credibility Geiger’s Pest Services shows all the accreditations and affiliations they have. Prospects see them and know their company is reputable and trustworthy.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization):
SEO is the practice of optimizing the copy on your website so that search engines can understand what your website is about and how they should rank it for particular keywords. This website is optimized for the phrase “pest control.” This helps those looking for pest control services on the web find their website through search engines.
Geiger’s Pest Services emphasizes the fact that they are a family owned and operated business. They use very personal language to connect with visitors, while still sounding professional. They also use their copy to educate prospects about why they may need pest control services. This shows their expertise and builds trust with prospects.
Good programming is tricky to spot, because your CAN’T spot it unless there’s a problem with it. This site worked perfectly. The homepage features rotating pictures, which are a nice touch. Overall, everything looked great and operated smoothly. That’s all you can really ask for.
