As business owners, we can never stop learning. To stay ahead of the competition, we must continually be on the lookout for new ways to improve our products, services, systems, and everything in between. That’s how you ensure your business stays profitable — and that should be priority one for you.
I am always reminded of this entrepreneurial yearning for learning every time we host our Take Your Business to the Next Level events, and this time I want to do something about it! So I put together this list of 4 books that will help any small business owner take their business to the next level!
Let’s get to it. Book #1 is…
The Small Business Success Manual by Stan Dubin
This book has all the basics needed to thoroughly understand the ins and outs of business. To give you a hint at how good it is: This book was written in 1998 (when PostcardMania was born!) and it’s STILL applicable today. This book covers the management principles that helped me build PostcardMania from scratch into the amazing business it is today. Plus, it’s easy to understand and start implementing right away. Secrets of a Master Closer: A Simpler, Easier, And Faster Way To Sell Anything To Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere by Mike Kaplan
This book truly is perfect for those that have zero sales training AND those with tons of it. It breaks down the sales process into a very doable steps that anyone can apply. No matter what industry you’re in — you’re selling something! Get it here!
The Ultimate Postcard Marketing Success Manual by… me!
I wrote this book a few years back so that I would have ONE go-to resource that I could send to people if they wanted to learn the basics of marketing for small businesses and everything about postcard marketing.
It’s chock-full of great tips and tricks to improve your postcard campaigns, from design to mailing lists and even how to integrate with digital marketing, too! As long as you’re not one of the few businesses that should NOT be using postcards, you should DEFINITELY be using postcards.
No Fail Hiring by Patrick Valtin and L.D. Sledge
If you want to grow, one of the biggest barriers is finding the right people to hire and knowing who NOT to hire! This book breaks it down simply, and we have thoroughly implemented this system at PostcardMania! Now, I always have Patrick speak at the Next Level events because he’s awesome, and people rave about his seminars.
Have you read any of the books I mentioned? How did you like them? If you want to recommend a book to me I’m always yearning for learning! As always, let me know if I can help you in anyway. Drop me a line at Joy.Gendusa@PostcardMania.com!
