PostcardMania - How to Submit Art

QUARKXPRESS OR PAGEMAKER

QuarkXpress 3.3 or above. PageMaker 6.5 or above.
Front and back on same file. Front (color side) is Page 1 and back (black & white side) is Page 2.
File name has company name in it.
Document size set as the finished size - Standard card: 4.25"x 6" . Double card: 6"x 8.5". Rack card: 4"x 9". Other sizes available, check with your sales rep.
Art is HORIZONTAL. If you have vertical art, group and rotate it so it is horizontal.
IF POSTCARDMANIA SM IS MAILING: Back conforms to mailing specs. (See Mailing Layout info)
Colors are CMYK (We do not print RGB or Pantone Colors)
Placed art is a TIFF or EPS (NO JPGS or GIFS)
TIFFs or EPSes are CMYK at correct resolution.
For art that Bleeds (color goes to the edges) - Make your art extend an extra 1/8 inch over the edge of the document on each side that bleeds. Remember: this extra 1/8 inch will be trimmed off when the cards are cut.
Colors are CMYK (We do not print RGB or Pantone Colors)
All support files and fonts are included with the Quark/PageMaker file. (PC--Include Postscript fonts only)

PHOTOSHOP OR OTHER PAINT PROGRAMS

Front and back on separate files and clearly labeled.
Document size set up as: Standard card: 4.25"x 6". Double card: 6"x 8.5". Rack card: 4"x 9".
For art that Bleeds (color goes to the edges) - Add an extra 1/8 inch to each side that bleeds. For example, a standard card ( 4.5"x 6.25") that bleeds on each side, make your canvas size 4.5"x 6.25" (1/8 inch on all sides). Remember: this extra 1/8 inch will be trimmed off so put type or critical art no closer than 1/4 inch from the edges.

Image resolution is 300-350 dpi at the finished size. One color bitmap files are 1200 dpi.
Colors are CMYK (We do not print RGB or Pantone Colors)
Save files as a TIFF or EPS - TIFFS: Save as Macintosh format, LZW compression turned OFF. (Photoshop) EPSs: In Options Menu, turn OFF all check boxes, Preview should be: MACINTOSH, Encoding should be BINARY.

Front and back on separate files and clearly labeled.
Build art at the finished size - Standard card: 4.25"x 6". Double card:6"x 8.5". Rack card: 4"x 9".

File saved as an EPS. (COREL DRAW - set Export Resolution to 1000)
