Length of time mailing postcards
Initially, Stefany started mailing postcards in March of 2006, right after she started selling insurance.
Problem trying to solve
Stefany had been mailing letters, but felt that the process was too much handwork and she wanted to streamline her promotion. She was a little bit nervous about using postcards because when she received things like that in the mail she would just throw them away! However, postcards wound up working great for her!
Design ideas
The way Stefany comes up with her art is by first viewing the samples on PostcardMania's website, then making changes and writing the text for the back herself. She uses sample rates on the back of her cards to give the recipients an idea of how much they can save.
ROI
Stefany hasn't tracked her response rate or her ROI, but she's learned not to do any other promotion the week that she does her postcard mailing because she will be too busy to attend to all the new callers. Right now she does two mailings of 2,000 postcards every month and on her off weeks she runs a newspaper ad.
